Swizzle Stick is at risk due to behavioral reasons. While in care, Swizzle has been observed to be reactive while on leash. During intake, when a person entered the room Swizzle was in she lunged, hard barked, and growled at them. While on leash Swizzle has been observed to lunge and growl at other dogs. Similar behavior has been noted while in the kennel room. Swizel will lunge towards the dogs in their kennels. With handlers, Swizel will engage with them socially and also enjoys engaging with tennis balls. Medically, Swizel has corneal ulceration.

Swizel Stick arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care, Swizel has been observed to be reactive while on leash. Noted to lunge and growl towards other dogs while on leash. In the kennel room, Swizel has been observed to lunge towards the other dogs. During intake, when a staff member approached her, Swizel lunged forward while hard barking and growling at them. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only, single pet home that makes no trips to the dog park.
