Nala came into the care center as an owner surrender due to her owners moving out of state and not being able to take her with them. Nala is noted in the prior home to be very affectionate and loves quality time with family. She is noted to become anxious when left alone and has destroyed household items. Nala has not acclimated well to the kennel environment and has allowed only minimal handling since intake. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide any necessary behavior modification (force-free, positive reinforcement-based) and re-evaluate behavior in a stable home environment before placement into a permanent home.
