Meet Jeepers!

Jeepers is proof that the best dogs are worth the wait. This sweet, gentle 6-year-old 30lb mixed breed girl spent her first 48 hours in her foster home before letting out her very first bark—a testament to her calm, easygoing nature. Once you meet her, you'll wonder how she ever ended up in rescue because everything about her says "perfect family dog."

Jeepers is fully house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and even lets you know when she needs to go outside. She's well-mannered, knows several commands—including sit, come, fetch, off, and go—and loves nothing more than being by your side. Whether she's following you from room to room, relaxing in a sunny spot, or joining you for a walk, she's happiest simply spending time with her people.

She has the perfect balance of playful and relaxed. She's always up for a game when you are but is just as content to lounge quietly at home. Jeepers adores everyone she meets, from adults and children to new friends on walks, greeting people with a wagging tail and a gentle heart. Her affectionate, loyal personality makes her an easy companion to love.

Jeepers hasn't yet been tested with cats, so a meet-and-greet is recommended if you have resident pets.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who's already mastered the art of being a wonderful family dog, Jeepers is ready to fill your home with love. She has so much to give—now she just needs a family to call her own.

Jeepers is currently being fostered in Hoboken, NJ. Her adoption fee is $550.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
