Ghost arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. His previous owner describes him as affectionate and independent. While in care, Ghost has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to show whale eye and growl when handled. During his assessment, he did not allow handling and would freeze when handlers attempted to interact with him. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home.

A staff member writes: Ghost is a sweet, gentle pup who loves spending time with people he knows and trusts. He greets familiar faces with a wagging tail, enjoys pets and treats, and is always ready for a chance to stretch his legs. Outside, he walks nicely on leash with only mild pulling and loves to zoom around the yard before checking in with his handlers. Ghost can be a little sensitive to sudden noises or fast movements, so he'll thrive with a patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence. He's also participated in dog introductions and playgroups, making him a great candidate for slow introductions to canine friends. If you're looking for a kind-hearted companion to grow with, Ghost may be your perfect match.

My Boroughbreaker writes : Ghost wins you over almost immediately. He's incredibly sweet, affectionate, and gentle with everyone he meets. He was also completely relaxed and comfortable being handled. He was chill and very happy to be touched, pet, and smooched!

He was wonderful with small children - very calm, gentle, and interested when they approached him. When a toddler nearby began crying, he stayed relaxed and still wanted to say hello. Ghost genuinely seems to love kids and has the kind of temperament of a natural family dog.

He was equally sweet with other dogs, from small dogs to much larger ones. His interactions were friendly, soft, and respectful, and he never showed any signs of dominance or aggression.

Ghost does pull a little on the leash sometimes, but he is an absolute angel: loving, social, gentle, and eager to be around people. He has all the makings of an incredible companion and deserves a home where he can finally settle in and be loved!

Ghost is an absolute big baby at heart! He loves nothing more than curling up on your lap, resting his head against you, or making sure at least some part of him is touching his favorite humans. He's one of the sweetest, most affectionate, and well-behaved dogs you'll ever meet! In fact, just about everyone who's met Ghost has said he's one of the sweetest and best dogs they've ever encountered!
He's a social butterfly who loves being around people, playing with other dogs, and being part of the fun! He's incredibly friendly with people of all ages, including children, and loves making new friends, both human and canine! He would especially love a home with another friendly, playful dog to keep him company and share playtime with! He's also remarkably gentle and attentive, always seeming to make sure everyone around him gets a little love. Ghost is a smart cookie too! He picks up new cues after just a few repetitions, has wonderful house manners, and is fully potty trained. As much as he loves cuddles and companionship, he's also perfectly happy relaxing at home on his own without getting into mischief.
