This shy boy hasn’t had much luck at meet and greets because he needs a little time to feel comfortable with new people. But his foster dad tells us that once Iago warms up, he’s an incredibly loving and affectionate companion! He loves snuggling up beside you on the couch, playing, showing off his paw-shaking skills, and heading out for walks. He’s even gotten comfortable enough to greet visitors and happily accept pets!

Iago just needs someone willing to look past that shy first impression and give him a chance to show his wonderful personality. He’s been in foster care for far too long, and while he’s loved every minute of being part of a family, it’s time for one he can call his own!

If this dog is located at our Manhattan Adoption Center, head in to meet them and see if you are a match! We are a same-day adoption center, and an application does not put you on a list or hold an animal for you. If they are in Wantagh or in a foster home, please submit an online application and our team will reach out to further discuss the adoption process. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and given their age-appropriate vaccines.
