My foster writes: Ladybug? More like Cuddle-bug! Meet Ladybug, a really special girl with an endless amount of love to give. Once you start petting her and she looks up at you with her beautiful brown eyes, and starts purring as she melts into your arms, you'll never want to stop! She might be a little hesitant at first, but with just a little love and reassurance, Ladybug blossoms into the sweetest, cuddliest, adorably playful dog. Most of time, Ladybug is a sleepy, docile couch potato, and is impressively gentle taking treats, pawing, and giving affection, but she also has a fun, silly, energetic streak! Don't be surprised to catch her zooming around the room to celebrate a particularly good cuddle session or meal, or to initiate play mid-day! And if you're looking for a new running partner, don't count Ladybug out! She is quite the athlete and will also be an excellent exercise companion. She's still working on getting all of the basic commands down, but she is responsive and highly engaged during training sessions. While we don't know too much about Ladybug's past, her almost magnetic pull to the couch (no invite needed!) and stellar potty training suggest that she may have once had a home.

She is beaming with love, and is as energy fueled as she is a master in cuddling (naps with her are sure to improve your life). While she loves a lazy day, Ladybug loves a long walk and much needed playtime (she will let you know!) She is great at fetch and LOVES a puzzle toy.
Ladybug will do best in a consistently social environment without prolonged alone time. cannot be left alone for long periods of time due to her anxiety. She is a true velcro pittie, and will follow you around desperate to be part of the action.
Ladybug needs a patient owner who can continue to work through her anxieties, helping build her confidence and trust around strangers.

Ladybug would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with patient adopters who understand the value of letting her set the pace. She will do best with a calm routine and gentle encouragement rather than pressure. A peaceful environment will help her confidence grow over time.

Good with Other Pets?

Ladybug has not been comfortable passing other dogs closely and may feel overwhelmed in busy or high-energy interactions. With slow, thoughtful introductions and proper management, she may be able to adjust, but she will need space and patience while she builds confidence.

Ladybug walks nicely on leash without pulling but is still building confidence outside the shelter. She benefits from slow introductions, consistency, and a gentle approach that allows her to explore the world at her own pace. Small moments of trust go a long way with her.
