What my friends at ACC say about me:
I lived with children in my previous home.
I have lived with cats in my previous home.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.
I am playful and cute!
A volunteer writes: In Chance's short one year of life, he has not had the best luck. This is his second time at the shelter: the first was when his owner lost their housing and could not bring him to the homeless shelter, the second when his family's work schedule changed to be gone long hours and they felt they could not care for him any longer.
And yet - Chance remains hopeful and believes good things are coming. Each time I pass his kennel he looks up at me optimistically - surely I'd like to spend some time outside with such a handsome boy, right? Right?? (I have yet to resist this offer).
Outside he seems dedicated to showing that he is a pup worthy of another chance: he walks sweetly by my side, gently takes treats, sniffs politely. His gorgeous black fur and soulful eyes give big best friend vibes.
In a previous home Chase was described as "very affectionate" and he is said to be "friendly and tolerant" with other dogs and children.
Sometimes our life turns out in ways that have nothing to do with our worthiness or our efforts. But things can always start lining up, falling into place, taking a turn for the better - Chance believes this for himself and I would never doubt such a perfect boy's intuition.
