My foster writes: Knickolas - Knicky, to his friends - is a laid-back gentleman who spends most of his day napping on the couch. But the moment a hand comes near, he perks right up: he'll gently guide it to exactly where he wants scratches (chin and belly are the sweet spots), and if you stop too soon, he'll tap you with a paw until you get the hint.
Knicky is curious, playful, and loves people of all kinds - he's especially fond of older kids, but needs to get better at keeping four paws on the floor. He already knows sit, stay, come, leave it, and drop it, and he's currently working on down, off, and fetch (he's got the "chase" part down - the "bring it back" part is still a work in progress).
Knicky loves other dogs, maybe a little too much. He gets so excited to say hello that he's still learning how to keep his cool around them, so he'll do best with a confident, dog-savvy adopter who can help him keep practicing. He's also not quite ready to be left alone for long stretches, so his ideal home has someone around often while he builds his confidence. In exchange, he offers total devotion - he'll be your calm, snuggly shadow, will protect you from the bathroom monster, and be the first face you see at the door every time you come home.
