Meet Nikki!

Nikki came to ACC when her owner was no longer able to care for her, and she's ready to find someone who will love her for all her silly, energetic ways. She's a bouncy girl who loves treats so much that she had a hard time keeping her paws to herself during her assessment! She's quick to approach new people and has plenty of personality to share.

My Ideal Home

Nikki would love a family who can help her channel her enthusiasm into good manners. She's very food motivated, which can be a great tool for positive, reward based training as she learns to wait her turn and keep her paws on the ground. With some consistency and patience, Nikki will be ready to show off what a good girl she can be!

Good with Other Pets?

Nikki's history with other animals is unknown, so her new family should take introductions slowly and give everyone plenty of time to get comfortable. For now, she would do best with thoughtful, supervised introductions to any resident pets.

Good with Kids?

Nikki would do best in a home without young children. She can be quite enthusiastic when treats are involved and was persistently jumping up and trying to grab treats from handlers, so she'll do best with people who can help her practice calm behavior.

Things to Know

Nikki walks beautifully on leash with no pulling, but she can become easily distracted when something tasty catches her attention. She'll benefit from force-free, reward-based training focused on skills like leave it, sit, stay, and down, along with plenty of enrichment to keep her busy. If you're looking for a girl with a big appetite for life, Nikki is ready to meet you!
