Memo is a 60 pound mix with a big heart, a silly personality, and a unique way of experiencing the world! Memo is deaf, but that doesn’t stop him from being an affectionate, curious, and wonderfully goofy companion. He’s a floppy boy who loves to snuggle, sunbathe in any available window, and keep watch over his kingdom. His dad used to call him “soft serve,” and one look at his lovable, laid-back self will tell you why!
Life with a deaf dog may look a little different, but it can be incredibly rewarding. Memo will need a person who is excited to communicate with him visually, build trust through positive reinforcement, and help him navigate the world with confidence. He already knows some basic commands and would benefit from a refresher as he settles into a new routine. With patience, consistency, and a little creativity, there are so many ways to help Memo shine!
Memo’s ideal home is a quieter environment where he can feel comfortable and secure. Busy streets, crowds, and other overwhelming surroundings can be a lot for him, so he’d love a calmer neighborhood and a handler who can patiently guide him through unfamiliar situations. He would also do best in a home without cats or children, as he doesn’t have experience living with either!
Looking for a snuggly, fun loving, silly companion? Memo is your guy!
