My foster writes: Say hello to Chase, a sweet, laid-back gentleman with a giant head, adorable puppy eyes, and a heart to match! Chase is an easygoing guy who loves being around people and is friendly with children and other dogs. He enjoys leisurely walks, is great on leash, and has a wonderfully relaxed personality.
Chase is happiest when he has his people nearby and would love a home where someone is around much of the day. After everything he's been through, this lovable older guy deserves to spend his golden years being spoiled, loved, and cherished. ❤️
If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with the sweetest face and a mellow personality, Chase may be your perfect match!

Meet Chase!

At 12 years young, Chase is a mellow gentleman who is looking for a soft place to land after spending his entire life with one family. Surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him, this sweet senior still has so much love to give. He enjoys leisurely strolls, gentle attention, and simply being near his people. If you're looking for a calm companion who asks for very little besides love, Chase might just be your perfect match.

My Ideal Home

Chase would love a peaceful home where he can enjoy the simple things in life: comfy naps, relaxing walks, and quality time with his family. He can be a little sensitive when his neck and ears are touched, so a patient adopter who respects his boundaries will help him feel comfortable and secure.

Good with Other Pets?

Chase previously lived peacefully around other dogs and has been described as friendly with both familiar and unfamiliar canine companions. As always, slow introductions are recommended.

Good with Kids?

Because Chase can be sensitive to handling around his neck and ears, he would do best in a home without very young children, or with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his boundaries.

Things to Know

Chase is described by his former family as social, affectionate, playful, and wonderfully mellow. He enjoys car rides, knows cues like "sit" and "stay," walks nicely on leash, and has a reputation for being "super chill." His ideal day probably includes a leisurely stroll, a cozy nap, and spending time with the people he loves.

Volunteer Notes

A volunteer writes:

"Chase is someone's dream dog, I just know it." After spending 12 years in one home, Chase is now adjusting to life in a busy shelter, but his gentle personality still shines through. He's a lovable old soul with the sweetest droopy jowls and an easygoing nature that makes everyone smile.

One of his biggest highlights? During a Fourth of July celebration, Chase absolutely demolished a hot dog in record time, leaving everyone laughing as half of it seemed to disappear in one bite! Watching him amble along at his own slow, thoughtful pace is just as charming as you'd imagine.

Chase doesn't need much to be happy. A cozy bed, a loving family, and a quiet place to spend his golden years would mean the world to this deserving senior. He has spent a lifetime being someone's loyal companion, and now he's hoping for one more chance to be someone's best friend.
