ABOUT ME: Everybody gets excited about Friday, but honestly? I'm more excited about you. I walked out of my kennel nice and easy, and a few minutes later I was belly-up for someone I'd just met. My owner left me boarding in Georgia and said she'd be back. She wasn't. No hard feelings; I'm just holding out for someone who shows up. Calm dogs? We can hang. Loud ones? I'll pass. You, though? Instant hit.
MY FOSTER SAYS: I will arrive in Brooklyn soon! Badass will share more as soon as I’m in a foster home.
HISTORY
Rebecca Black was abandoned by her owner when they moved out of town and has been in the care of our Georgia rescue partner ever since. Rebecca will travel to Brooklyn in mid-October 2026.
DETAILED PROFILE
Rebecca Black doesn't do dramatic entrances. She walks calmly out of her kennel, strolls nicely on leash, and has been known to flop onto her back for belly rubs within minutes of meeting someone new. Friendly and affectionate with everyone, she never pushes. She says hello, then lets you come to her.
Her owner left her boarding with our rescue partner while moving out of state and never returned. She came through it with her trust in people fully intact.
She brings the same polite, steady approach to other dogs. When an intense, overstimulated pup came on strong, she simply didn't engage. Paired with a more laid-back dog, she was happy to share the space and even snuck in a couple of quick kisses on his nose.
Details on her house and crate training, energy at home, and experience with kids and cats will come from her foster after she arrives in Brooklyn.
Calm doesn't mean sleepy. Rebecca is up for a good walk and happy to settle in afterward, any day of the week (Friday included). If you want a companion who's easy to be around and still likes to get out and go, she's a strong candidate.
MEDICAL HISTORY
The dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.
