My foster writes: Caffery is a calm, affectionate foster dog who is quickly stealing hearts. He loves being close to his people and is happiest when he's getting gentle rubs and attention. On walks, he really enjoys himself-taking his time to sniff, explore, and soak in his morning strolls and evening park visits.
He thrives with structure, responds well to positive reinforcement, and is very food-motivated, which makes training easy and rewarding.
Caffery has also been building strength in his legs after past mobility discomfort. With medication and consistent care, he's made great progress and is steadily increasing his endurance, now enjoying more movement, play, and confidence each day.
He's a loving, easygoing companion who is ready to continue growing in a patient, caring home.

Meet Caffery!

Caffery is a soft-hearted boy who was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He is still learning to feel comfortable in new environments, but he shows a gentle, sweet nature once he settles in. Caffery does best with patient adopters who give him time to take in the world at his own pace.

Personality

Caffery is calm, observant, and tends to take a step back in new situations before engaging. He enjoys quiet, gentle interaction and accepts handling well when he feels safe. Once comfortable, he can relax and show a soft, easygoing side.

My Ideal Home

Caffery would thrive in a quiet, low-traffic home with a steady routine. He will do best with patient adopters who use positive reinforcement and allow him to build confidence gradually. A calm environment will help him continue to come out of his shell over time.

Good with Other Pets?

Caffery has shown a soft, friendly approach toward other dogs but can become overwhelmed if interactions are too forward or energetic. He does best with calm, respectful dogs and slow introductions. Careful matches and supervision will help set him up for success.

Good with Kids?

Caffery would do best in a home without young children under 5. He is most comfortable in calm environments where interactions are gentle and predictable.

Things to Know

Caffery is still gaining confidence on leash and may hesitate in unfamiliar settings. He benefits from slow introductions, routine, and enrichment like puzzle toys to help him stay engaged and relaxed. With consistency and patience, he continues to build trust in new experiences.

Fun Fact

Caffery has a quiet, endearing presence and a soft charm that comes out once he feels at ease. He's the kind of companion who forms a deep, steady bond with his people over time.
