Since I'm a long stay pup, my adoption fee has been reduced! Visit me today to find out my favorite treats and how you can take me home!
This lovable boy is incredibly smart, obedient, and eager to please. We can't believe he's not been adopted. His manners are impeccable!! He is such a good boy, incredibly happy and has so much love to give!! He is crate trained, house broken, and loves to do movement puzzles and play fetch. He can also catch treats in mid air!
I had the pleasure of hanging out with Bonsai at the recent ACC adoption event sponsored by Best Friends Animal Society. The weather was a bit chilly and overcast. Bonsai behaved well throughout the entire event. Bonsai happily greeted everyone (adults and kids) who then reciprocated with lots of pets and loves. Bonsai was eager to show off his skills - perfect sit, treat catching and waiting patiently for a treat left a short distance away until I said "ok, go get it". Between meeting the people, Bonsai and I took nice leisurely walks and spent time cuddling up under the blankets.
Bonsai is a playful, active, sweet and loving boy. He can be chilled when needed. Bonsai walks nicely on leash. He can pull a little when he is interested in something, but he can be easily redirected and continues his walk. Bonsai definitely loves to play and to spend time with his person.
My Boroughbreaker writes: We had such a fun day together. He's down for anything. He LOVES meeting people, and is so cuddly and friendly. He is a huge teddy bear and goofball. He's also very treat motivated! He checked in with me a lot on walks and was redirected easily. He is a strong boy, so he needs to work on his leash manners but that shouldn't be any trouble with only a little training. When he sees other dogs on walks, he whines, growls, and lunges, but to me it seems like excitement/frustration rather than aggression. We didn't actually meet any dogs obviously but I definitely wouldn't categorize him as dog aggressive. He just needs to be properly socialized. The good thing is that he is so treat motivated he should be easy to work with. He has such a good heart and so much love to give, he will be anyone's best friend.
